Hallmarks On Precious Metal Jewellery

All of our jewellery is sold under the rules & regulations of the Hallmarking Act 1973

Our pieces will usually have a full UK Assay Office Hallmark OR a full International Convention
Hallmark that is recognised by the Hallmarking Act 1973.  Convention Hallmarks have the same legal
status as a UK hallmark.  Some of our items will be exempt from a hallmark because they weigh less than
7.78 grams of silver OR less than 1.0 grams of gold.  Some of our items may also be exempt from a
hallmark if they were made prior to 1950, providing that we can prove their fineness & that they were manufactured before this date.  All of these exemptions are noted within the Hallmarking Act 1973.
