This is a very large and very rare, vintage Southwestern American pendant. It comes ready to wear on its original silver chain which has a fabulous unusual design (details below).
The pendant is in the form of the Liberty Bell. It was made to commemorate the bicentennial anniversary of The Declaration of Independence.
The clanger is set with natural turquoise, and the bell is engraved 76. This is for the year 1976, when the reading was made for the anniversary.
The chain is crafted from wonderful tubular bars and beads. These are strung on fine silver wire. It has an interesting fold over clasp with ridges, and a double link fastener.

1 & 1/2" (4cm) width.
17" (43cm) length.
3.5mm width across the beads.

The pendant has been acid tested which gave a 925 sterling result.
The chain has also been acid tested and is a lower grade of silver. The clasp is a non precious base metal.
Excellent vintage condition with light age related wear and light tarnish.
The necklace will be sent in a new presentation box, free by Next Day Special Delivery.
